This last week I covered my first soccer game of the 2013 fall sports season when the Lakeland boys visited Coeur d’Alene High School and then finished up the week with three football games on Thursday and Friday. Thursday Graham Kapowsin High School from Western Washington visited Post Falls high school and the JV game and the first half of the varsity game was played during daylight hours which is so much fun for me! Then Friday Sandpoint traveled to Spokane Valley to take on East Valley. The 2013 Fall Sports Season Begins

For a while now I have been thinking about creating a new Facebook page that focuses mostly upon my sports photography and this last week, right in time for the beginning of my fourth year of High School sports coverage, I pulled the trigger on the idea and launched the “Jason Duchow Photography – Sports” page which of course will primarily feature sports action photography. I am hoping that having the two different pages will allow me to have a clear message and consistent content on each page and hopefully prove to be a good marketing and business decision. On Friday I kicked off the Football season at Lakeland High School were there was a Jamboree with Sandpoint and Timberlake. Then to cap off the day I was at Post Falls for the varsity game vs Capital from Boise. 2013 IEL Regional Track Meet

There were some great performances at the 2013 IEL Regional Track Meet but what I remember the most is how hot it was. It was in the mid 90’s all day with no shade to be found on the field until late in the evening. 2013 Christina Finney Track Meet (Post Falls Photographer)

he 2013 Christina Finney Co-Ed Relays at Post Falls High School included hosted teams from Timberlake, Lakeland, Moscow, Sandpoint, Coeur d’Alene, Lake City and Lewiston. One of the hard things about covering a track meet is that the events are often spread far apart so it is impossible for one person to be at every event. For this meet I spent some time at the shot put and discus rings and went back and forth between the track events and the high jump pit. I also grabbed a few pole vault shots on my travels between the throws area and the track.

08/21/2012 – Girls Soccer

Yesterday I traveled to Rathdrum to cover the girls varsity soccer game between the Bonners Ferry Badgers and the Lakeland Hawks, unfortunately the refs were 45 minutes late to I was only able to photograph 1/2 of the game before heading to Coeur d’Alene for the Lake City vs. Sandpoint match-up. I was able to cover the entire varsity game between the Timberwolves and the Bulldogs as well as about 20 minutes of the JV game.
