The Sandpoint Bulldogs kicked off their season by hosting the Knights of East Valley. Here are some photos from the game as well as a link to view the entire gallery of photos and order prints.
Grahram-Kapowsin High School from the Tacoma area of Wasington made the trip to Idaho to take on the Trojans of Post Falls. I was there for the Varsity game as well as the second half of the JV game. My sports coverage was a little lighter this week due to some portrait work and a wedding in Sacramento. I love shooting sports but I also have to pay my bills so portrait and wedding work always takes priority! I did make sure to schedule my flights for the wedding so that I would only miss a Saturday’s worth of games though. Here is this weeks recap of my sports and sports related work this last week.

This last week volleyball was added to the mix of fall sports, I had the opportunity to photograph the varsity match between Lake City and Sandpoint as well as the JV and varsity matches between Kellogg and Lakeland. On the soccer side of things I made my way to Post Falls for their game against Coeur d’Alene, to Lake City High School as they faced Sandpoint and Priest River as they hosted Kellogg. I had two football games on my schedule this week. Friday night it was Sandpoint as they traveled to Spokane to take on East Valley High School, then Saturday I visited Lake City to cover the JV game against Mead. When I arrived I found referees and a lake city team but no Mead team! It turns out that Mead had a team ready to go but no bus to take them to Coeur d’Alene for their game. I went searching for some Junior tackle football to shoot but to no avail, I did however find a parking spot right in front of Hudson’s Hamburgers in downtown Coeur d’Alene, clearly this was a sign that I needed to have a couple of cheeseburgers for breakfast!

The second week of the fall High School sports season was a busy one. Soccer was the main sport this last, I covered 9 games this last week, 7 varsity and 2 JV. Also on the schedule was some football, with a JV game at Lakeland and the Post Falls vs. Lewiston varsity game.
