02/08/2013 – Lakeland at Sandpoint (Sandpoint Photographer)

Last night I was excited to set up my new remote “Glass Cam”, a remotely triggered camera installed on the back side of the basketball hoop and positioned to shoot through the glass backboard.   The glass of the backboard at Sandpoint High School is almost certainly the same one installed when the school was built over 20 years ago and it certainly shows it’s wear and tear with quite a few scratches but even with the very imperfect glass to shoot through I was able to get a handful of fun shots.  Here are some of the photos from the night for more photos from this game and the entire 2012-2013 season visit my website at this link: http://bit.ly/TmPJrS

2013 Battle of the Buck – Stop Motion Style Video

For the third year in a row I was able to make it to the Battle of the Buck spirit games between Priest River High School and Timberlake High School.  This time around I decided to cover the event a little different than normal.  With all of the activity of the crowd and the fun of the different competitions I decided to photograph the event with the intention of putting together a stop motion style video.  In all I used over 7,000 photos to make a video a little less than 10 minutes long.  I would not normally produce a video of this nature that was more than 4 or 5 minutes long, but since I was producing this to record the entire event for those that took part I decided not to cut it down.

2013 Moose Madness

Last night it was time once again for the annual Moose Madness spirit games between Sandpoint High School and Bonners Ferry High School.  This event features a variety of different competitions and one of the few things that is taken into consideration for the winning school is the score of the two basketball games that serve as the backdrop of the games.  After the scores of the dance team, cheer leading  fan spirit, stop and moose call competitions were tallied it was Bonners Ferry that was able to hold up the moose antlers in victory.  To view all the photos from this event visit my website at this link: http://bit.ly/W6cOko.

12/18/2012 Lake City at Coeur d’Alene

Coeur d’Alene’s Lake City High School and Couer d’Alene High School faced off last night and when these two schools play there is always a lot of energy in the crowd, which makes photographing the students in attendance almost as much fun as photographing the game!  I was set up to cover the three games played at Jordan Court which were the JV Girls, Varsity Girls and Varsity Boys.  Here are some shots from the game as well as links to the full galleries.

12/11/2012 – Newport at Priest River (JV & Varsity)

The first meeting of cross border rivals Newport and Priest River for the 2012-2013 season took place last night.  I covered the Boys JV, Girls Varsity and Boys Varsity games and Priest River was the victor in all three contests.  Here are a few shots from these games as well as links to the full galleries.

09/15/2012 – 2012 Idaho Football Classic

The 2012 Idaho Football Classic hosted some great area teams against some strong competition from Washington and California.  The first game pitted the Clarkston Bantams against te Huskies of Sutter Union High School.  Game 2 featured the Bengals of Lewiston against Sequoia High School out of Redwood City, California.  In the third game the Lake City Timberwolves took on the Bearcast of W.F. West High School out of Chehalis Washington.  The final game of the night brought together the top rated team in Idaho in the Coeur d’Alene vikings who were looking to expand their 24 game winning streak to 25 and the top rated team in Washington, the Spartans of Skyline High School led by USC bound quarterback Max Browne.  Here are some photos from this great day of football, for more photos from these game and to order prints visit my website at the following links.
