A couple of months ago my wife noticed that the Pend Oreille Playhouse in Newport, Washington was going to have auditions for an upcoming play called Slipperzzz.  The casting call was for actors in grades 3-6 and my daughter decided she wanted to give acting a try.  The play followed the story of Cob the shoemaker and the 12 dancing princesses who keep wearing out their shoes.  Slipperzzz was written by Jeannette Jacquish, and directed by Alyssa Miller and Duncan Heaney and they did an outstanding job with these 25 actors ranging in ages from 8 to 13.
